This page explains how account deletion works for Lexa Resume, what data is deleted, and how you can permanently remove your account and all associated information.

How to Delete Your Account

You can permanently delete your Lexa Resume account directly from the app. Follow these steps:

  1. Open Lexa Resumeon your device.
  2. Go to Settingsby tapping the gear icon or navigating to the Settings tab.
  3. Scroll to "Account deletion"at the bottom of the settings page.
  4. Tap "Delete account". A confirmation dialog will appear.
  5. Read the warning carefully, then tap"Delete this account?"to confirm.
  6. If prompted,re-enter your passwordor re-authenticate with Google/Apple to verify your identity.

This action is permanent and irreversible. All your data will be lost immediately upon confirmation.

What Data Is Deleted

When you delete your account, the following data is permanently and irreversibly removed:

Account & Profile Data:

  • Your account credentials and authentication records
  • Email address and profile information
  • Account settings and preferences

Career Content:

  • All resumes and cover letters you created
  • Professional summaries and experience entries
  • Job descriptions and ATS scoring history
  • Application tracking data and salary expectations
  • Uploaded documents (PDFs, Word files, images)

AI & Usage Data:

  • AI-generated content and analysis results
  • Feature-usage counters and synchronized session-related records
  • Feedback submissions linked to your Lexa Resume user profile
  • Local cache and thumbnail files

Data Retention After Deletion

Lexa Resume starts deletion immediately and does not intentionally apply a 30-day waiting period:

Immediate Deletion:

  • All database records associated with your account are deleted
  • Your authentication credentials are permanently removed
  • The local career database and app preferences are wiped on the device where deletion is performed
  • Thumbnail caches and temporary files are cleared

Information Handled Separately:

  • Crash reports and diagnostic records managed by Firebase Crashlytics are not part of the in-app account database
  • App-store transaction records and information required for legal, security, or accounting purposes may be retained by Lexa Resume or the relevant provider
  • Residual copies may remain temporarily in service-provider backup and disaster-recovery systems until overwritten through normal retention cycles

Non-personal global reference data, such as product-variant information, is not associated with a user account and is not affected by account deletion.
